Pastel Painting Classes    -4:00-6:30pm. Learn the correct way to paint with soft pastels. Step by step instruction and beginners welcomed. $90.00 for complete workshop and all supplies are included). Several completed pastel paintings will be produced by the end of the course. The workshop consist of three days: March 15, 22, 29.

 

Glass Painting Class- Each student will turn a window into a colorful transparent work of art with a stained-glass style. $50.00 for a 3 day workshop which includes window, leading and a set of Gallery Glass paints. Demos and design ideas will be provided. May 9, 10, 11. . 5pm-8pm

 

Silk Painting Workshop-.Learn the Asian way of painting with dyes and resist medium to create your own silk painting, ready to be framed. Large 21x21inch size. All supplies are furnished.$40.00 fee. May 23, 24.  5pm-7pm

 

Drawing and Painting Workshop- This workshop is designed for children ages 7-14. There will be tips and demonstrations to improve drawing skills. Also, several paintings will be completed by each participant by the end of the course.  July 12, 13, 14, 18,19. from 3pm-4pm, $50 fee includes materials.

 

Clay Sculpture for Young Hands Workshop- Learn the properties of clay while creating slab pots, coiled pots, pinched pots and more., July 12, 13, 14, 18, 19.; from 4pm-5pm, $50 fee includes clay, glazes, instruction  and firings.(ages 7 & up)

 

Potter’s Wheel Workshop- Students will develop potter wheel throwing techniques by leaning to wedge, center, and form vessels on the potter’s wheel. Students will receive plenty of demonstrations and practice, so that bowls and mugs can be completed by each student. This two week workshop will be taught July 11-14 and July 18-21; from 11am-12:45pm. $100  fee includes materials and firings for the two weeks. (middle schoolers-adults)

                                                                 

Artsy Gourd Containers- Turn a large dried gourd into a “gourdeous” work of art. Use dremel tools, wood burning tools, leather dyes, varnish, etc. to create your own artful gourd container. Also, you will get plenty of instruction in pyrography.  August 8, 9, 10 and 12.   5:30-8pm  $40.

              

Introduction To Precious Metal Clay-   Watch my demo and then design and make your own pure silver earrings or necklace pendant. $20. Includes everything!  What a deal!   5-6:30pm   Sept. 9th.

 

 

More Advanced Methods with Precious Metal Clay- This 2 day class includes more silver per student and you will learn to set stones in your silver jewelry. Receive enough pure silver to make approximately 6 or 7 jewelry items. Sept.14 and 16 from 5:00-7:00pm $70 per person

 

Batiking Silk Scarves- Learn to design your own scarves with hot wax and dyes. Each person will get two 60” long white silk scarves to design. Demos and all materials are supplied and beginners are welcomed. Limit 6 people. $30.00 per person. Oct. 8th from 1-4pm.

 

Raku hand-building Clay Workshop- This in-depth workshop is designed to teach clay hand building techniques such as coiling, modeling and slabbing and the history of Japanese hand built pots. Several of your pots will be raku fired. All other clay items produced will be fired the traditional way with dinner safe glaze. $140 fee will cover 25lbs of raku clay, glazes, firings and instructions. Class size is limited to ten (10).  Oct. 25th and 27th and Nov.1, 3, 8, 10, 15, 17, 22., from 5pm-7pm.
